The Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises funds to help make Alder Hey Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly centre of excellence.
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is one of the largest children’s hospitals in Europe. It cares for over 330,000 children every year and provides an outstanding service for all the families who use its services. Known for being the centre of excellence for oncology, muscular dystrophy and childhood lupus as well as spinal, heart and brain conditions, Alder Hey is renowned for providing world-class care for all children, no matter their condition. However, in order to provide care on this scale and to such a high standard, they rely on charitable donations.
The Alder Hey Children’s Charity helps raise vital funds that the hospital needs. Over £35 million has been raised by the charity since October 2013, which has gone towards essential and life-saving medical equipment. The charity aims to improve the lives of all the people who pass through the doors of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. This includes funding a number of projects and activities which make up the essence of Alder Hey. Facilities and staff such as ward-based chefs, play specialists and medical research facilities are what make the hospital such a remarkable place.
If you choose the Alder Hey Children’s Charity, £250 will be donated for each ton of clothes collected. This will go towards supporting all the essential care and facilities that the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital provides. It really is a special cause!
